BTS made their most-awaited comeback with their new English-language single, Butter, on May 21 at 9:45 NPT (Nepal Time).
After its release, “Butter” MV only took 13 minutes to surpass 10 million views on YouTube. The music video took 6 hours and 10 minutes to reach 50 million views. The “Butter” achieved the milestone of 100 million views at 21 hours after its release.
The “Butter” music video garnered 108.2 million views in 24 hours, making it the music video with the highest number of views in its first 24 hours. BTS’s “Dynamite” MV held the previous record with 101.1 million views in 24 hours since its release.
YouTube also confirmed that “Butter” has broken the YouTube premiere record with over 3.9 million concurrent viewer at its peak. Previous record was held by Dynamite with over 3 million concurrent views.

“Butter” also achieved the highest number of First-day stream for any song in Spotify history with 11,042,335 streams. The record was previously held by Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s 2019 hit
“I Don’t Care,” with 10.977 million streams.On Nepal’s YouTube Chart, “Butter” MV is Trending No. 1 For Music category. The music video took over 24 hours to ranked No. 1 for Music category after its release on May 21 at 9:45 NPT (Nepal Time). “Dynamite” was the first Korean Music video to ranked No. 1 on Nepal’s YouTube Chart, followed by “Life Goes On.“
